Not to be mistaken with the less interesting standard Latour Macon-Lugny, the 'Genievres' contains Latour's rigorously selected top quality fruit from the best exposed vineyard sites in the commune. This gives - for a relatively inexpensive wine - great character, with a wonderful nose showing citrus, honey and hints of acacia, followed by a round, supple and silky palate, with a crisp, mineral-laden finish.

The Genievres is a great wine for filling up the racks, since it's incredibly versatile, matching with a wide variety of dishes, from simple salads to spicy, or roast, chicken and, since it's fermented in stainless steel and receives no oak treatment, will be enjoyed by pretty much anyone you choose to crack a bottle with.
